A 2-vehicle collision in Levy County killed a Morriston man and seriously injured a Gainesville man on Saturday evening.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 55-year-old Gainesville man was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 east on State Road 121 at 7:50 p.m. when he entered the westbound lane and attempted to pass multiple vehicles in a no-passing zone.
The F-150 crossed back into the eastbound lane near the NE 184th Ct. intersection but struck a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven by a 25-year-old Morriston man. The front left of the pickup hit the front left of the Corolla and both vehicles overturned onto the north and south shoulders.
Emergency responders pronounced the Morriston man dead on scene and the Gainesville man was transported to UF Shands with critical injuries.
His should be put in jail for life!
