The city of Gainesville will activate the Cold Night Shelter (CNS) Program for Wednesday night due to projected temperatures dipping below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

The program normally runs from Nov. 1 through March 31 and the National Weather Service is forecasting the Wednesday night forecast to dip to 44 degrees.

The St. Francis House and GRACE Marketplace at the Empowerment Center will provide services to people who need shelter if the overnight temperatures remain below 45 degrees.
