FHP trooper shoots, kills man in Suwannee County

A man died following a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) trooper-involved shooting in Live Oak on Tuesday.

According to an FHP release, the incident took place at the Busy Bee Convenience Store located north of I-10 on US Highway 129 around 5:30 p.m.

The FHP trooper was not injured and has been placed on non-disciplinary administrative leave pursuant to FHP policy.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) will conduct the investigation.
