A Fort White man died on Friday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a pickup he was attempting to pass on SW Wilson Springs Road.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the motorcyclist was traveling west on SW Wilson Springs Road at 2:08 p.m. and attempted to pass a 50-year-old Fort White man driving a pickup near SW River Oak Court. As the motorcyclist was passing, he collided with the pickup.
Emergency responders declared the motorcyclist dead on scene. The pickup driver was not injured.
