Mobile Disaster Recovery Center to make stops in hurricane-affected areas

Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) will be making another round of stops at Suwannee, Steinhatchee and Horseshoe Beach to provide one-on-one assistance to people affected by Hurricane Idalia.

The dates and locations for each DRC are:

The DRCs will provide Hurricane Idalia survivors with information from FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration and Florida state agencies. People can receive help applying for federal assistance and disaster loans, update applications and learn about other resources available.

Several centers are open throughout the area impacted by Hurricane Idalia and people are not required to go to the center in their county but can visit any open center. Click here to find an open Disaster Recovery Center, visit  floridadisaster.org or text DRC along with your Zip Code to 43362.

Survivors are not required to visit a center but can apply online at disasterassistance.gov, use the FEMA mobile app or call 800-621-3362 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET daily.
