A motorcycle rider died Monday morning in a collision with a vehicle at N Main Street and NE 31st Avenue in Gainesville.

According to Gainesville Police Department (GPD) spokesperson David Chudzik, the accident occurred at 11:47 a.m. and traffic was diverted from the area until 2:45 p.m.
GPD traffic homicide personnel were investigating the incident.
Emergency responders declared the motorcycle rider dead on scene.
