The Alachua County Commission invites citizens to share proposed maps for how the County Commission districts should be drawn.

This process will provide an opportunity for residents to assist in shaping the future boundaries for the county.

Citizens are encouraged to submit maps that meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Five Districts: Maps must contain exactly five districts, and all geographic areas of Alachua County must be included in one — and only one — district.
  2. Equal Population: Districts should be generally equal in population to ensure fair representation.
  3. Boundary Alignment: District boundaries must follow the edges of current Supervisor of Elections voting precincts or 2020 U.S. Census Blocks.
  4. File Format: Submissions must be provided in shapefile or KML/KMZ file formats.

The deadline for map submissions will be Sept. 5. To submit the maps online, click here.

Invitation to Gerrymander

This is an open invitation to Tim Marden. It is put up or shut up time. Submit your ideal MAGA Republican dream map of the county. If you do not, it is an admission that it cannot be done and all your Single Member District and “We need rural conservative Representation” is just so much whine and BS.

Submit your map. Failure to do so shows that this is a Democratic county and you realize you have no hope of winning. Gerrymander away!!!!!

Tyler Durden

Spoken like a true “democratic” socialist. News FLASH. The US is not a democratic country. It’s a constitutional republic. Majority does not rule. Alachua’s at-large vote is specifically intended to deny less populated areas a voice and preserve Gainesville communist mob rule.
