The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay Ruskin has issued a
Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect until 6 PM EDT
Thursday.
* COASTAL FLOODING…A combination of abnormally high tides and
surge from Sally will allow water levels to run 2-3 feet Above
Ground Level (3.5 – 4.5 feet MSL) during times of high tide
through Thursday.
* COASTAL FLOOD TIMING…During afternoon high tides through
Thursday.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS…Minor coastal flooding, especially low-
lying roads or other areas sensitive to nuisance flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
