Due to Hurricane Debby, the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections office will start early voting on Tuesday.
According to a press release, the impacts from Hurricane Debby bumped the start date back one day, but early voting will begin at 9 a.m. at the following eight locations:
- Supervisor of Elections Office, 515 N. Main St., Gainesville
- Millhopper Branch Library, 3145 NW 43rd St., Gainesville
- Tower Road Branch Library, 3020 SW 75th St., Gainesville
- Hawthorne Community Center, 6700 SE 221st St., Hawthorne
- Legacy Park Multipurpose Center,15400 Peggy Rd., Alachua
- J. Wayne Reitz Union, 655 Reitz Union Dr., UF Campus, Gainesville
- Alachua County Agriculture and Equestrian Center, 23100 W Newberry Rd., Newberry
- (NEW) Santa Fe College, S-029, 3000 NW 83rd St., Gainesville
Early voting runs through 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug.17.
The Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office (515 N. Main St., Gainesville) will open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
According to the release, voters can still request a vote-by-mail ballot online at VoteAlachua.gov. The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the primary election is 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8.
To participate, voters must present valid photo and signature identification to vote early. Visit VoteAlachua.gov to see a list of acceptable photo and signature ID or call the Supervisor of Elections Office during normal business hours at 352-374-5252.
