Rep. Kat Cammack

Age: 36

Occupation: Congresswoman for Florida’s Third Congressional District

Previous experience in elected office: Member of Congress for FL-03 (2021-present); Deputy Chief of Staff for FL-03 (2012-2020)

Public service other than elected office: N/A

What prompted you to run for re-election?

Over the last three and a half years of the disastrous Biden administration, we’ve seen the degradation of our national security, economic dominance, and public safety. Whether it’s the open southern border or rising inflation crippling families in North Central Florida, I’m committed to putting our country back on track with a Republican Congress and Republican administration.

What are the two most important issues facing the next Congress?

Restoring our national security is a top priority for me and my colleagues next Congress. More than 12 million people have entered our country illegally since 2021, the majority of them disappearing without a trace into our communities. We’ve seen hundreds of people enter the U.S. with ties to foreign terror organizations and criminal cartels, endangering Americans across the country. We must restore law and order and regain operational control of our southern border.

Additionally, lowering inflation and improving the health of our economy are critical steps to restoring fiscal sanity. Inflation has impacted everyone, from business owners to families trying to put food on their tables to Florida’s farmers and ranchers. We have to get inflation under control with fiscally responsible policies that don’t sell our future generations down the river. Regardless of who occupies the White House, Washington, D.C. has a spending problem we must address.

What do you hope to accomplish in the next Congress?

I’m genuinely focused on the aforementioned issues of securing our southern border and relieving the pain on American families’ pocketbooks after nearly four years of inflation under the Biden administration. I hear from my constituents all the time that these are their two most important issues and I join them in sharing these concerns and working with my colleagues to restore our national security and our overall economic wellbeing.

In addition, I’m committed to reducing regulations and cutting bureaucratic red tape to stop the assault by the administrative state—the true ‘fourth branch of government’—that makes it impossible to do business in the U.S. My signature legislation, the REINS Act, will go a long way in this fight, so I look forward to once again having it passed, and hopefully this time, signed by the president.

What most differentiates you from your opponent?

I believe we’re focused on very different issues. After four years of representing this district and the people of North Central Florida, I know that the issues most on their minds are the ones we all share about our core values—keeping our families and our nation safe, ensuring we can afford to put food on our tables, and pursuing the American dream. The Biden administration has been focused on very different priorities, choosing to put our national security and our communities’ safety dead last. I’m committed to working with a Republican majority and a Republican president in the White House to say enough is enough—something Democrats in Congress are loath to do.

Alec Stevens

Age: 30

Occupation: I have longtime service in the hospitality industry and maintain that as I am building my real estate business.

Previous experience in elected office: None

Public service other than elected office: None other than community service

What prompted you to run for Congress? I surrendered my life to the LORD’s will for my life a year ago. Over the past year I have been praying and asking what He wants me to do and at the beginning of this year the LORD laid it upon my heart to run for Congress. We, as a nation, need to pass the torch to the next generation and I have decided to lead by example by getting involved.

What are the two most important issues facing the next Congress? I believe the two most important issues facing congress are making sure we ban abortions except for the most extreme cases and removing LGBTQ teachings from our schools. The LORD God is judging our nation. We can appeal to Him and ask for forgiveness but we have to show that we are sorrowful for disobeying. “ […] if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it (Jeremiah 5:1 KJV).”

What do you hope to accomplish as a member of Congress? I pray that I would be able to help restore American values, bring back the Bible and its teachings to Congress, and to establish strong working relationships with all my fellow representatives. Our nation is divided, in part because we see that our leaders are divided. I intend to lead by example and try to bridge some of that division. I believe that we can accomplish great things and restore American values through prayer, supplications, and treating others with respect and dignity.

What most differentiates you from your opponent? I do not know my opponent personally so I cannot truly tell you how we are different. What I can tell you is that firstly, I am a born again Christian and I know for sure that I am going to heaven because I have placed my trust in Jesus Christ, the lamb of God who was sent to take away my sin and yours. Secondly, I am a family man who enjoys watching my young family grow and that I know that there is nobody who will fight for my children like I will. Last, I am an American and I am willing to serve my country with the gifts my LORD God has given me.

Sunny Day

Kat Cammack is a do-nothing, MTG-wanna-be. She’s been an embarrassment for our district. Get rid of her.

BillS

Real simple “Sunny” – don’t vote for her. You have an alternative nominee or you can sit home and b**ch. By the way – define MTG and elaborate on what the Representative has / has not done thaqt upsets you “Sunny”?

I would love to know more how Kat’s constituents, people who live in various Florida counties all surrounded by other Florida counties, have the _Southern border_ of all things as their top concern and priority. All of her answers read like a maga ChatGPT bot parroting whatever trump vomits at his hate rallies.

As for Alec, I’ve never been more terrified of religion in my life after reading his answers.

What in the world is up with the Republican party in this country the last decade?

Ed N

I’m hoping that someone will talk about the things that would really make us safe: Maintain the affordable care act so that no insurance company can hold pre-existing conditions against us ever again, ban assault rifles so that we don’t ever have to be scared sending our kids to school, make sure to keep medicare and social security so that those of us with low paying jobs have something to rely on, and make sure we have voting rights. Yes, something needs to be done about immigration, but, with a warming planet and countries at war all around us, it isn’t an easy answer. People are fleeing, and, as of now, we still have a mostly functioning democracy and people want safety and opportunity. Plus, we need immigrants to do the jobs that Americans won’t do. So, Mr weird Beard man and Ms. crazy spooky lady, could you get down to business and support the things that people really want? If not, please let the not weird Democrats run the show.

DeathSantis

Imagine seeing these two and what they have to say and _still_ thinking the Democrats are the weird ones. I’ll never understand what kiol-aid the republican supporters are drinking
