Eta makes landfall at Cedar Key; moving northeast

After making landfall near Cedar Key this morning, Eta has continued its northeastern track at about 13 MPH. As of this morning, Eta is currently passing through Central Alachua County.

A Tropcial Storm Warning remains in effect.

For the remainder of the day, expect intermittent showers and possibly a thunderstorm, with breezy conditions.

As was expected, Eta weakened greatly as it approached the Gulf Coast and eventually interacted with land. The highest wind gust observed at the fire station was about 30MPH earlier this morning.
