Gainesville police investigating weekend shooting

The Gainesville Police Department responded to a shooting call on Sunday, November 29th at approximately 1:46 AM.  

GPD officers found two persons that were shot in the Wells Fargo Parking Lot (104 North Main Street). The victims, one female and one male, were both struck by bullets fired by an unidentified suspect. 

The victims then fled in separate directions. The female victim drove herself to the Springhill Shands ER. The male victim was driven to the Archer Road Shands ER by the downtown Party Bus. The shooting incident was reported to law enforcement by both Shands ERs. Neither victim sustained life threatening injuries.

Afterwards, GPD officers located the crime scene at the Wells Fargo parking lot and found multiple shell casings. 

At this time, the suspect has not been identified. GPD detectives are following multiple leads.
