Gainesville police respond to shots fired; warn of alarming trend

At approximately 6:30PM on Monday, Gainesville Police Department units responded to reports of multiple shots fired at the 400 block of NE 11th Street. After arriving to the scene, GPD officers located a shell casing outside of a home nearby.

Nobody was hurt during the incident and no buildings or vehicles were impacted.

This incident continues the growing trend of shots fired, shootings, and armed robberies in Gainesville. GPD asks it neighbors to remain vigilant and to continue to inform law enforcement if they see or hear anything suspicious.
