Dwight H. Hunter (Northeast) Pool, located at 1100 NE 14 St., opens at 8 a.m. Monday.

Advance registration is required as pool use is restricted at this time to only one swimmer per lane in scheduled one-hour time slots. Lap swimmers may register as early as 3 p.m. the day prior to the requested access date. Phone lines for Cherry pool, 352-334-2187, and Hunter pool, 352-334-2191, open 3 p.m. Sunday, June 7. City staff members will use scanners to measure the temperatures of individuals arriving as scheduled and will not allow entry to those with temperatures 100.4 F or higher. Masks are required to be worn out of the water.

All diving boards and slides will remain closed. The Andrew R. Mickle, Sr. Pool will remain closed until adequate staffing is available to ensure the safety of all users. The City is committed to restoring operations for all recreational activities in a safe, incremental approach for all neighbors.
