Mainstreet does not have a paywall, but pavement-pounding journalism is not free. Join your neighbors who make this vital work possible.

ACLC members and the public will ask questions on the topics of a living wage, affordable housing, transportation, healthcare, food access, corporate responsibility, criminal justice reform, and general governance.

The candidates have completed ACLC questionnaires touching on the same topics, which can be found on the ACLC website.

Food and beverage will be served at 6 p.m. and the candidates will start fielding questions at 6:30 p.m.

In the future, please warn your readers that the kind folks at the The Alachua County Labor Coalition (ACLC) will call GPD on you if were trying to attend this forum without wearing a mask, unless you are eating pizza or drinking a soda or talking some another audience member where the masked people were sitting.

Also, only 5 of the 9 Gainesville Mayoral Candidates attended, so it would be interesting to know if the other 4 Mayoral Candidate non-attendees also support this bizarre mask mandate on July 28th when the outside temperature was 88 degrees and I rode my bicycle 16 blocks to get there.
