Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed Autumn Citta to the Florida Cancer Control and Research Advisory Council on Wednesday.
Citta, who lives in Alachua, is an advanced registered nurse practitioner at the UF College of Medicine. She is a member of the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy and she received the 2017 and 2018 “Provider of the Year” Award from the UF Health Cancer Center.
Citta earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida Atlantic University and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
According to her UF Health profile, Citta “joined the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Team in November 2009, working as the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse Practitioner. Before joining the team, she worked as an Adult/Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant nurse for three years.”
