Inaugural Power over Pain Jubilee slated for Saturday

UF Health will be holding its inaugural Power Over Pain Jubilee on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Gainesville.

The free community event will run from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 2505 NE 8th Ave. and aims to increase awareness of and access to pain management education, services and clinical studies. It will include breakout sessions on self-massage, chair exercises, nutrition and more. 

Staja “Star” Booker, an associate professor at the UF College of Nursing and the director of My Pain Matters Lab, and Candace McMillon-Dantley, CEO of WellPower, will be the featured speakers.
