Students and recent visitors of BronsonMiddle/High School may have been exposed to a staff member who tested positive for COVID-19.
“We had one staff member test positive and were advised to have other staff members tested,” Coordinator of Benefits and Risk Management Kalee Wade said. “The results take several days to receive.”
A statement was issued on July 13th from Levy County School District Superintendent Jeffrey Edison.Â
“The School Board of Levy County considers the safety and security of their students and staff to be the upmost priority. In abundance of caution, we have decided to close the offices at Bronson Middle/High School to visitors this week due to a possible exposure of COVID-19 on campus.
Any questions or concerns can be directed the School Board office at 352-486-5231.Â
Staff members and students that were possibly exposed will be contacted by the Levy County Health Department to discuss further steps that are necessary. Students may be tested at the Levy County Health Department at 66 W. Main Street Bronson, FL. on Tuesday, Wednesday or
Thursday at 9:00 a.m. It is a drive through test and a parent must be present to sign a permission form.
The custodial staff will be taking extra measures to deep clean and sanitize the school campus.”
