The American Heart Association awarded HCA Florida North Florida Hospital with a GoldPlus Get With The Guidelines award for its care of stroke patients.

The association gives these awards to hospitals that follow the best standards of care and educate patients to manage their recovery from home.

“Get With The Guidelines makes it easier for our teams to put proven knowledge and guidelines to work on a daily basis, which studies show can help patients recover better,” C. Eric Lawson, NFH chief executive officer, said in a press release. “The end goal is to ensure more people in North Central Florida can experience longer, healthier lives.”
