Reports to: City Manager

Pay scale: $25,000 – $33,000 Annually (12.01/hr. – 16.00/hr.)

General Description:

The City of Waldo, a municipal government entity, is looking for a competent Administrative Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the office. This position will deal with the public as well as internal staff. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

Purpose of Position:

This position includes providing accounting and administrative support, managing all financial transactions, including AP/AR, chart of accounts and payroll. Answering phones, filing, Assist residents with requests, permits, etc. Maintain filing system, Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel- Working knowledge of office equipment.

The ideal candidate is a fast learner, comfortable working independently or with a team, has great organizational and collaboration skills. Has strong customer service skills and excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Qualification Requirement:

· High School diploma or equivalent is required.

· Valid Drivers License

· Schedule: 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday
