The city of Alachua will host a free Senior Showcase Day on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Legacy Park Multipurpose Center.

The city of Alachua will host a free Senior Showcase Day on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Legacy Park Multipurpose Center.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 15400 Peggy Rd. in Alachua.

Senior Showcase Day will feature fun activities and community resources, including free vaccines for ages 19-64, blood pressure, BMI and cholesterol screenings. A BBQ lunch will be provided while attendees stay informed with health presentations.

There will also be a craft activity and a performance by the Alachua Cha-Chas! Plus, along with information from Elder Options and SHINE Medicare counseling.
