The Alachua County Veterans Service, in collaboration with community partners, will host the Veterans Stand Down and Resources Fair on Wednesday at the Santa Fe College Blount Center.
The event, free and open to all veterans, will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 530 W. University Avenue in Gainesville.
The resource fair will focus on barriers to care, support stability and strengthen connections between veterans and the community resources available to them.
The event will assemble organizations and community partners to connect veterans with a wide range of essential services in one location. Attendees will have access to employment assistance, housing resources, VA medical enrollment, medical screenings and more. On-site providers will offer direct assistance, information, and referrals, helping veterans navigate available resources and understand their benefits.
“This event is about providing immediate support while also connecting veterans and their families to long-term resources that strengthen stability and well-being,” said Alachua County Veteran Services Director Olajuwon White in a press release. “By bringing community partners and essential services together in one place, we help ensure veterans not only receive help today, but know exactly where to turn tomorrow.”
