The inaugural “Get Your Rear in Gear” 5K Run/Walk fundraiser is slated for April 18 in Jonesville Park.

The event will take place at 9 a.m. at 14100 NW 32nd Ave. in Gainesville. To register, click here. The fee will include a T-shirt. The event will benefit the Colon Cancer Coalition.

There will be a silent auction, which will feature signed items from local sports figures, including a basketball signed by UF men’s basketball coach Todd Golden.
