The UF CARD Constituency Board will host its 17th Annual Stomp the Swamp for Autism Acceptance and Awareness event at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at Gate 7 on Saturday, March 7.

The event will run from 2 to 4 p.m., with onsite registration at 1:30 p.m., at 157 Gale Lemerand Dr. in Gainesville. This annual event aims to raise funds and awareness to support individuals with autism and their families. The cost is $26 for adults and children 12 and under are free. Self-advocates, families, community members and UF students, faculty and staff will walk or run together to support the UF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UF CARD), North Central Florida’s first choice for autism support.

Highlights of the Event:

  • Tabling by Vendors and UF Organizations and Researchers: Learn about the latest in autism research and support services
  • Event T-Shirts: Available with a $25 donation

  • Activities for children and running and walking fitness activities for all

Proceeds from the event will help provide swimming lessons for children, child safety materials and information, employment training for young adults, and social learning programs for children and teens with autism and related disabilities.

The University of Florida Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UF CARD) is dedicated to providing support and resources to individuals with autism and related disabilities, their families, and the professionals who work with them. UF CARD is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those affected by autism through education, training, and community outreach.
