The Veterans for Peace Chapter 14 will host its 39^th annual Winter Solstice Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 13, in Gainesville.

The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the event starts at 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at 4225 NW 34^th St.

Tickets for the event can be purchased in person and paid with cash or check at Bead All About It in the Thornebrook Village Shopping Center (2441 #1A, NW 43^rd St., Gainesville) and at Theatre of Memory (1705 NW 6^th St., Gainesville). Tickets are available online by clicking here.

A suggested donation of $20 to $50 is requested.

The event will feature performances by Drums of Peace, Cherokee Peace Chant, Bill Moran, Key West Superwoman, Mick Marino, Ric Kaestner, Quartermoon, Heavenly Semi-Angels, John Chambers & Friends and Other Voices.

Attendees of the event are also asked to bring donations of clothing, personal items and food for the Helping Hands Clinic.
