The Bob Graham Center for Public Service will host Bob Filippone, former National Security Advisor to Sen. Bob Graham, and Middle East expert Dr. Onursal Erol to discuss the lasting impact of 9/11 on U.S. foreign policy.
The event is free and open to the public. It will also be streamed on YouTube.

The event will feature a joint honor guard from Gainesville Fire Rescue and the Gainesville Police Department, and a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. and 9:03 a.m., when planes struck the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center.
Gainesville Regional Airport Retirement Ceremony for Explosives K-9 Beamer
12 West Hangar at University Air Center (4701 NE 40th Terrace, Gainesville)

After 8.5 years with the airport, Beamer will retire with a final sniffing demo and leaders talking about her career. Attendees will also learn about Beamer’s connection with the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
BEHIND THE LINES: A 9/11 STORY

A music and theatre production headlined by trumpeter Dominick Farinacci and telling the stories of Bill Spade, a New York firefighter and sole survivor of FDNY Rescue Company 5, and Jaymes Poling, a three-tour Afghanistan combat veteran. The three create an experience of healing and hope through in-person retellings, music and light.
