
The 8th Annual Santa Fe Plein Air Paintout kicks off on Wednesday, April 9, with three days of public viewing in downtown High Springs and three local parks.
Organized by Lanza Gallery & Art Supplies, this annual event draws local and out-of-town artists to capture the beauty of Florida’s parks and springs through plein-air painting.
Public Observation Days:
- Wednesday, April 9: Rum Island Springs County Park, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (1447 SW Rum Island Terrace, Fort White; Park Entrance: $5)
- Thursday, April 10: Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (7450 NW 60th St, High Springs; Park Entrance: $4 per person, $6 per car)
- Friday, April 11: O’Leno State Park, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (410 SE O’Leno Park Road, High Springs; Park Entrance: $4 per person, $6 per car)
Paintout Exhibit:
Artwork created during the event will be showcased at Lanza Gallery & Art Supplies from April 12 to May 17, unless purchased beforehand.
Art Reception:
Celebrate the artists’ achievements at an Art Reception at Lanza Gallery & Art Supplies from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at 23645 US 27 in High Springs. All artwork will be available for purchase, and light refreshments will be provided.
