Alachua County Animals Resources has partnered with Petco Love to offer cats and dogs up for adoption.  

The Petco Love Florida Mega Adoption Event will take place from Friday through Sunday. All pets being offered will be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Adoption fees will be waived with some exclusions.  

The event will be statewide and the first of its kind. There will be 50 participating organizations in 31 counties.  

“Adoption Events highlight the hundreds of adoptable pets in our community that need lifesaving through no fault of their own,” said Julie Johnson, Director of Alachua County Animal Resources in a press release. “We encourage Floridians to come on out and adopt a pet.” 

Locations in Alachua County:  

• Alachua County Animal Resources, 3400 NE 53rd Avenue, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24. 
• Petco Pet Care Center, 6869 W. Newberry Road, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 25.
