Acrosstown Repertory Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” starting Friday, March 14.

The play, which will run through April 6, will be performed at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays at the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre, located at 3501 Southwest 2nd Ave., Suite O, in Gainesville.

In this classic comedy, Bianca cannot marry until her older sister, the sharp-tongued Katherina, is wed. Enter Petrucio, who believes he can tame the “shrew,” and Lucentio, who is determined to woo Bianca. In the end, who is the true tamer, and who is really tamed?
