The Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT) will host the annual Conservation Stewards Awards on March 25.

This year’s theme celebrates community educators and their work to inspire future generations. Whether in outdoor classrooms at local nature preserves, community centers, or lecture halls, the honorees have made conservation and preservation a component of their work.

The ceremony takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, at Prairie Creek Lodge (7204 Co Rd 234, Gainesville, FL 32641).

Mainstreet does not have a paywall, but pavement-pounding journalism is not free. Join your neighbors who make this vital work possible.

The event will include dinner, drinks, and a musical performance from the Sooza Brass Band. There will also be a silent auction that attendees can participate in.

Tickets are $80 through March 10 and increase to $100 on March 11.

All funds from the event will support the ACT’s work towards land conservation.
