Aces in Motion will host its AIM for the Stars Gala on Nov. 20 at the Cade Museum in Gainesville, bringing together community leaders, businesses, supporters, families and friends to celebrate local young people and the power of community investment.
The evening starts at 6 p.m. and will feature Broadway star Trista Dollison as the event’s headliner at 811 S. Main St. Tickets and tables are available at givebutter.com/c/aimforthestars.
According to an Aces in Motion (AIM) release, the organization has set a goal of raising $100,000 through the gala to support programs for local scholars. Funds raised will help provide academic support, college and career preparation, mentoring, athletics, enrichment opportunities and experiences designed to help young people thrive both in and outside the classroom.
The gala will highlight AIM’s work with Gainesville-area youth and the role that community support plays in creating opportunities for young people.
“AIM for the Stars is an opportunity for our community to come together and invest directly in the future of Gainesville’s young people,” said AIM Executive Director Dr. Vincent M. Miller II in the release. “This event will celebrate the accomplishments and potential of our scholars while helping provide the resources and experiences they need to thrive.”
Community members and businesses are invited to attend the gala and support AIM’s mission. AIM is a Gainesville-based organization dedicated to helping young people reach their potential through academic support, mentoring, athletics, college and career preparation, enrichment opportunities and other programs designed to support success in school and beyond.
