The Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT) and springs artist, Margaret Tolbert will be hosting a tree-planting event at Santa Fe Springs Preserve.  

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 19 at Santa Fe Springs Preserve. The location is not yet open to the public so participants will receive driving directions closer to the event.  

During this event, the ACT will talk about the importance of planting trees to help restore native landscapes and there will be a demonstration on how to properly plant baby longleaf pines before we begin the planting.  

This is also a great time to see the preserve before it opens to the public. A quick tour of the two springs on the property will take place at the start of the event. 

Bring water, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen and a hat. Gloves and all planting tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own gloves.
