The Alachua County Heart Walk is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville.

The American Heart Association signature event that drives CPR awareness and community preparedness will open at 8 a.m. with the three-mile walk starting at 9 a.m. at 4949 Celebration Pointe Ave.

Participants can register for the Heart Walk fundraiser at AlachuaHeartWalk.org. While on the webpage, they can download the Heart Walk mobile app, create a fundraising page, invite family and friends to participate and take part in the Heart Walk CPR Digital Experience so they can learn hands-only CPR in 90 seconds.

Every walker who participates at the event and every dollar donated helps fund more research and more people are trained in life-saving CPR along with additional breakthroughs.
