Planning not to cook a Thanksgiving meal this year? The Alachua County restaurants listed below will be open on Thursday as an alternative to spending all day in the kitchen. You can either enjoy a feast to remember or chow down on something non-traditional this holiday season.  

Red Rice Kitchen 

A Vietnamese kitchen that will be serving up its normal menu on Thanksgiving.

• Hours: 11:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. 

Pomodoro’s Café  

Offering traditional turkey and ham dinner options as well as Italian cuisine on Thanksgiving. Available for either dine-in or take-out. Pomodoro’s also has catering packages available.  

• Location: 9200 NW 39th Ave.  
• Hours: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.  

Paramount Grill 

Paramount has a fixed Thanksgiving meal with three courses. Multiple options are available for each course. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 352-378-3398. 

• Location: 12 SW 1st Avenue 
• Hours: 1-6 p.m.

Mildred’s Big City  

Mildred’s will be serving its regular menu alongside a special Thanksgiving meal. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 352-371-1711.  

Location: 3445 W. University Ave.  
Hours: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. 

Covey Kitchen + Cocktails 

Covey will be hosting a traditional Thanksgiving dinner buffet on Thanksgiving Day with a dessert station too. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made by calling 352-565-3536 or by following this link.

• Hours: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.  

Mother’s Pub 

Mother’s Pub will be offering a Thanksgiving meal and a free appetizer.  

• Location: 5109 NW 39th Ave.  
• Hours: 11 a.m.-2 a.m.  

Mr. Han’s  

Mr. Han’s will be open on Thanksgiving Day, serving its normal menu. Mr. Han’s serves Chinese cuisine with lunch, dinner and a dim sum menu. Reservations are encouraged. Call 352-331-6400 or visit the website.  

• Location: 6944 NW 10th Place 
• Hours: 11 a.m.-9 p.m.  

Metro Diner 

You can eat in at Metro Diner and enjoy their entire menu or take out a Thanksgiving feast for the family. Thanksgiving meals have to be pre-ordered for takeout by Nov. 21. Preorder by calling 352-353-2889 or visiting Metro’s website.  

• Location: 2130 SW 34th Street 
• Hours: 7 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.  

Cracker Barrel  

Cracker Barrel offers a simplified, preset menu for guests who can dine in the restaurant or take their orders to-go. Cracker Barrel also offers Thanksgiving meals and serves options that feed 8-10 or 4-6 people. The Thanksgiving meals are available for ordering Nov. 18-25. 

• Location: 4001 SW 43rd St. 
• Hours: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.  

Mi Apa  

Mi Apa will open its regular hours at three of its locations in Jonesville, Gainesville and Alachua.  

Additionally, Mi Apa offers a takeout Thanksgiving meal option that feeds up to 10 people. The meal includes a turkey or ham, yellow rice, black beans, a loaf of Cuban bread and a bottle of Mi Apa mojo. The deadline to place an order for Thanksgiving is Nov. 20.  

• Gainesville location: 114 SW 34th Street   Hours: 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 7 a.m.-11 a.m. Friday and Saturday.   
• Alachua location: 15634 NW US Hwy 441, Suite F, Alachua, FL 32615 Hours: 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday., 7 a.m.-10 a.m. Friday and Saturday.  
• Jonesville location: 14209 W. Newberry Road Suite B, Hours: 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Sunday. 

Farmhouse 1906  

Farmhouse 1906 is offering an all-you-can-eat buffet for Thanksgiving, which includes traditional offers of turkey, roast beef or ham along with numerous side dishes and desserts. It also offers catering and to-go packaging for the meal. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 352-660-3500.  

• Location: 25405 W. Newberry Road 
• Hours: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.  

The Great Outdoors  

Buffet-style service will be available with turkey, ham and a large array of side dishes and desserts. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 386-454-1288.  

• Location: 18587 High Springs Main St. 
• Hours: 11 a.m.-4 p.m.  

IHOP 

Open 24 hours, IHOP will be offering its full menu on Thanksgiving Day including a Thanksgiving meal consisting of turkey and stuffing served with two side dishes.  

• Location: 3625 SW 13th St. 
• Hours: Open 24 hours  

Perkins  

Perkins will be open for in-person dining and take-out. The holiday plates consist of oven-roasted slices of turkey, served on sage dressing, gravy and cranberry sauce. The plate also comes with two dinner sides and a slice of pie. 

• Location: 6825 W. Newberry Road 
• Hours: 6 a.m.-10 p.m. 

Haile Village Bistro  

There will be a buffet-style dinner served twice on Thanksgiving Day. The meal includes a choice of turkey or ham with various sides and a choice between pecan or pumpkin pie. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 352-378-0721.  

• Location: 5323 SW 91st Terrace  
• Hours: Noon meal and 3 p.m. meal 

Waffle House 

Waffle House will be offering its traditional menu on Thanksgiving Day.  

• Locations: 7611 W. Newberry Road, 3919 SW 40th Blvd, 5130 NW 13th St.  
• Hours: Open 24 hours
