Annual GFAA Artist Studio Tour to expand

The Gainesville Fine Arts Association (GFAA) will feature a record number of artists for its annual Artist Studio Tour slated on July 12-14.

Each year, GFAA showcases Gainesville area working artists over a weekend in July annually.

This year’s Artist Studio Tour is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 6 – 9 p.m. with the Kick Off Party at the GFAA Gallery (1314 S Main St.) in Gainesville.

The event continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14.

The Summer Showcase exhibit will be on display which features local artists using different mediums.

There will be paper brochures available and an interactive online map for the self-guided tour. For artist info and the interactive map, visit GFAA’s tour website www.gfaastudiotour.org.

This year’s event features a record number of participating artists. Thirty artists at 24 studios will be participating in the 2024 Tour. The tour will offer opportunities for demonstrations of artists’ processes, learning, conversations with artists and the chance to purchase original art.
