Alachua County’s Bits & Spurs Horse Club will host a Trail Ride fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 4.
The event will take place at the North San Felasco Trailhead (13201 Progress Blvd) with check-ins starting at 9:30 a.m.
The funds raised during the event will support the Dallas Osborne Scholarship Endowment Fund, which supports scholarship awards to its horse program participants to further their education beyond high school.
The Trail Ride fundraiser was an annual event for the Horse Club until COVID-19 paused the tradition. Â
Addison Grosz, a senior at Eastside High School, the current club president and the 4-H Horseman of the Year for the state of Florida, decided to restart the fundraiser.Â
The 2021 ride raised enough money for three scholarships, and she hopes to repeat that success this year.Â
The regular/day-of registration fee is $30, which will cover admission and lunch.
To register, go to eventbrite under 2023 Dallas Osborne Trail Ride.
