Bread of the Might Food Bank (BOTM) will partner with Publix and Deeper Purpose Community Church on Tuesday morning for a food distribution event.
The event will start at 10 a.m. at Deeper Purpose Community Church located at 19930 N. US Highway 441 in High Springs.
As part of Hunger Action Month, BOTM, a branch of Feeding Northeast Florida, will distribute food to people in the Gainesville area along with Publix associates who will volunteer as part of Publix Serves Day.
Publix District Manager Darren Steffy will lead up to 100 Publix associates who are volunteering for the event.
“We are excited to partner with Publix and Deeper Purpose Community Church to make a meaningful impact during Hunger Action Month,” said Patrick Dodds, executive director of BOTM, in a press release. “Collaborations like this allow us to reach even more families facing hunger and ensure they have access to nutritious food.”
BOTM will provide food items including fresh produce, bakery goods, meat and dry goods to local families experiencing hunger.
