The Dance Alive National Ballet (DANB) recently announced its 2025-26 lineup as it celebrates its 60th anniversary.

A “Meet the Dancers” event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Cade Museum (811 S Main St, Gainesville).

The event will feature dining, dancing, a live auction and a DANB performance that will include “Diamond Jubilee,” choreographed by Kim Tuttle, and is followed by “Diamonds Are Forever,” performed by Carla Amancio and Jose Ramos. Resident Choreographer Tales Ribiero will present “Diamonds” followed by a sample of Dancing With The Stars by Beatriz Povoas and Andre Valladon.

Returning DANB dancers for the upcoming season include Carla Amancio, Paloma Berjano, Luan Brito, Beatriz Correa, Marilyn Deiorio, Rosemary Deiorio, Marite Fuentes, Stirling Kolb Emilia Leon, Tenki Nomura, Beatriz Pereira Povoas, Jose Ramos, Luana Rayssa, Tales Ribeiro, Rachel Ridley, Alison Tucker, Andre Valladon, Ashley Brooke Valladon and Roberto Vega.  

The following list is the 2025-26 season performances and special events.

LAND OF LA CHUA

7:30 p.m., Oct. 10, Curtis Phillips Center (3201 Hull Rd., Gainesville)

Featuring ROCK ON, a Tom Petty Tribute Ballet. Celebrating 200 years of Alachua County from the Timucuan Indians to Tom Petty.

NUTCRACKER

7:30 p.m., Dec. 19 & 20; 2 p.m., Dec. 20 & 21, Curtis Phillips Center, Gainesville

Family favorite as DANB will be joined by the Ocala Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Raymond Chobaz.

SWAN LAKE

7:30 p.m. Jan. 31, Curtis Phillips Center, Gainesville

The most beautiful ballet of all time is back by popular demand.

ROMEO AND JULIET

7:30 p.m.  Feb. 21, Curtis Phillips Center, Gainesville

Shakespearean tragedy will be brought to life by the dancers of DANB and the choreography of the late Tom Pazik.

SPECIAL EVENTS

CHAMPAGNE GALA

5:30 p.m. Mar. 28., Legacy Park (15400 Peggy Rd., Alachua)
The event will feature Gainesville “Dancing With the Stars,” a live and silent auction, and fine dining by Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille. DJ Elio Piedra will provide music. For 18 years of age and older.

THE MAGIC OF NUTCRACKER

5:30 p.m. Dec. 17, Curtis Phillips Center, Gainesville

DANB will present a special private “Nutcracker” at the final rehearsals for children with special needs onstage at the Phillips Center. Each child will receive a holiday gift. 

CLASS WITH CLARA

4 p.m. Dec. 20 & 21, Curtis Phillips Center, Gainesville

Join the charming ‘Clara’, heroine of the “Nutcracker” for a princess-style ballet class onstage in the Kingdom of the Sweets. Training is not required and street shoes are acceptable, but you can dance in your socks or ballet shoes. DANB company dancers will be available to help your children as well, so they will receive the most possible attention given. Special ‘gifts’ will be handed out following the class.
