The “Destined Home: A Story of Resilience and Belonging” exhibit opening reception will be held on Friday at the Gainesville Fine Arts Association in Gainesville.

This free event, presented by GFAA in collaboration with the Greater Gainesville International Center (GGIC), will run from 7 to 10 p.m. at 1314 S. Main St. The exhibit will be on display through Saturday, Aug. 23.

The exhibition features the work of GGIC with the International Rescue Committee to resettle six refugee families to Gainesville. This is the story of some of Gainesville’s newest neighbors, as told through the live drawings of Terrence Ho and words by Lauren Poe.
