‘DJs Unite For LifeSouth’ blood drive slated for Saturday

The fifth annual “DJs Unite For LifeSouth” blood donation event, featuring DJs from MARC Radio Group, is slated for Saturday in Gainesville.

The blood drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the LifeSouth Newberry Road donor center located at 4039 Newberry Rd.

DJs will be live at the donation center and donors have a chance to win two passes and parking passes to Busch Gardens. Donors will also receive a commemorative T-shirt and a $25 eGift card.

The MARC Radio Group owns Rock It 100.5, Magic 100.3,  R&B 94.1, 106.9 I Am Country, The Beach 100.9, 96.3 FM/1430 AM The Shepherd and 103.5 FM/720 AM in Ocala, along with Mainstreet Daily News.

All blood donors will also receive recognition items and a cholesterol screening at LifeSouth. Donors must be at least 17 (16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is also required.
