Farm Share is holding four food giveaways within driving distance of Gainesville on Saturday, including one in Archer. 

“We are trying to feed as many families as we can,” said Leighsha Johnson, distribution coordinator for Farm Share.

The four area events will take place at Archer, Ocala, Jacksonville, and Orange Park on Saturday morning. The Archer giveaway will begin at 9 a.m. and end when the food is gone. 

Food is available on a first come, first serve basis. Johnson said it generally lasts only one to two hours.

The Archer event will take place at Maddox Park near the fire station. The address is 17100 SW Archer Road.

Johnson said so far this month Farm Share has conducted 23 food giveaways in northeast and central Florida.
