The Florida Legends Experience will host the inaugural FL Legends Card Show, bringing collectors, traders and enthusiasts together on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22-23, at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center in Celebration Pointe.
The event will be held at 4870 Celebration Pointe Ave. in Gainesville and is expected to be the largest card show in North Central Florida, with hundreds of vendors already committed to participate.
The show floor will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22. A free Trade Night will follow from 6 to 9 p.m., providing a family-friendly opportunity for collectors and kids to trade and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
The event will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23.
Admission to the Saturday and Sunday card shows is $5. The event welcomes longtime collectors, newcomers and anyone interested in exploring the hobby.
In addition to sports cards, the show will feature trading card games such as Pokémon, giving attendees opportunities to browse, buy, sell and trade cards and connect with other collectors.
“The Hobby” has attracted generations of collectors, and organizers said the FL Legends Card Show is designed to offer something for everyone, whether they have been collecting for years or are discovering the hobby for the first time.
Vendors interested in a last-minute spot can register for $250 through FL Legends.
Supporting Isaiah 117 House
The FL Legends Card Show also is partnering with Isaiah 117 House, an organization that provides a safe and comforting home for children who are entering foster care while child welfare professionals complete necessary paperwork and work to identify an appropriate placement.
Proceeds from ticket sales will support efforts to construct an Isaiah 117 House in Alachua County.
