The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will host a public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 15, to discuss agency activities and conditions on Orange, Lochloosa and Newnans lakes.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sun Retreats Ocala Orange Lake, 18545 NW 45th Ave. in Citra. The Recreation Hall was formerly known as Grand Lakes RV Resort.
The meeting will also feature a guest speaker from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, who will give a presentation on harmful algal blooms.
The agenda includes:
- 5:30 p.m.: Doors open.
- 6 p.m.: Updates on FWC activities and lake conditions.
- 6:30 p.m.: Break.
- 7 p.m.: FDEP presentation on harmful algal blooms.
- 8 p.m.: Meeting concludes.
