GACAR to host a local food drive and fundraiser  

The Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors (GACAR) will host a drive-up food drive and fundraiser on Friday.  

The fundraising event benefits the Bread of the Mighty. 

People are encouraged to drop off unexpired, non-perishable food items or monetary donations at GACAR’s office at 1750 NW 80th Blvd. In Gainesville. 

For every $1 raised, Bread of the Mighty can produce eight meals for local neighbors in need. 

GACAR hopes to raise $2,500 during the fundraising event, which would equate to 20,000 meals for community members experiencing food insecurity.
