Gainesville’s Caitlyn Jewett, 23, will represent Florida at the USA National Miss competition this summer after winning Miss Sunshine State 2025.
According to a press release, USA National Miss aims to celebrate leadership, confidence and community impact by offering young women a platform to amplify their voices and serve as role models across the country.
The national competition will be held July 13–19 in Orlando with a prize package valued at over $1 million. The event includes travel opportunities, brand partnerships and a $10,000 cash scholarship awarded to the national titleholder to support their personal and professional growth while expanding their platform.
“This title is more than a crown—it’s a commitment to empowering the next generation,” Jewett said in the release. “As Miss Sunshine State, I’m honored to stand alongside incredible women who are changing the world.”
Jewett, an Ocala native, is a student of Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Child Life.
She intends to use her passion for improving early childhood mental health and developmental outcomes by bringing years of service, advocacy and mentorship to her role to elevate conversations around emotional wellness in children and families.
Jewett invites the community to support her journey to the national stage by voting in the People’s Choice competition, which guarantees one finalist a spot in the national Top 16.
