Gainesville Fire Rescue (GFR) will host a Holiday Open House at Station 1 with the Humane Society of North Central Florida on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
The event will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. at 525 S Main St.
GFR Rescue is hosting its very first holiday open house to help raise funds for firefighters and the local animal shelters.
Attendees will get the chance to take tours of Station 1 and meet their local heroes, as well as participate in several holiday activities like drinking hot chocolate, making holiday crafts, and meeting Santa.
The event is co-hosted by the Humane Society of North Central Florida, which collaborated with GFR earlier this year on the 2026 Rescued Hearts fundraising calendar.
