This free event, in collaboration with the Dare to Be Different Youth Empowerment organization, will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pine Meadows (2626 E University Ave., Gainesville).
The Back2School Bash features hygiene gift bags and will provide backpacks for the first 80 students. There will be a parent-child sack race, tug-of-war, card games, a bounce house, food and music.
