Seth Meyers opened his show last night with the usual “A Closer Look” segment talking about news and happenings in the world.
And during his points on the handling of the coronavirus pandemic, Meyers said about lab supply shortages, testing problems and the upcoming school year.
“The only concrete day I can picture is the first day of school and I’m terrified it’s not going to happen,” he said.
“But instead of making a plan on how to get kids and teachers back safely we prioritized opening a Crunch Fitness in Gainesville. I hope you fellas got “swole” enough to make up for the fact that my kids can’t count past seven!”
Crunch Fitness is located at 2002 SW 34th Street in Gainesville. When contacted, the general manager said they were too busy to comment on the monologue.
Meyers was a cast member on Saturday Night Live before hosting Late Night with Seth Meyers, a late-night talk show on NBC.
