anyone else think all those options are dumb?

South Bound And Trucking

Those Name Options Stink! My Personal Choice Would Be “Champagne Walk” To Name The Pedestrian Only Area/ SW 1st Avenue. Those Name Choices Are Like Dead Leaves On A Tree.

Matsh

Most of those are actually open business at nite. Can’t say otherwise..I go almost every week. Plus we can put safety barriers prom goofy drivers. We learned in Iraq many ways to secure even walking area.

PROBLEM SOLVED

How about “Avenue of Shuttered Businesses”

Argh

How about “Should have been parking avenue”? or “We don’t listen to citizens or businesses before we make decisions”? Those other names are terrible.

I agree that these choices leave a lot to be desired, but snarkiness aside, you want something that rolls off the tongue and is short/sweet. I’d say “The Streatery” or “Market Walk” are the only two viable options.
Friend 1: “Where do you want to go?”
Friend 2: “Let’s go to Streatery.” or “Meet me at Market Walk.”

Some suggestions

Homeless Heaven
Homeless Haven
or simply The Wokeville Walk

Seriously we have to ask “who benefits” in increased property values, assuming this project is a success? A list of the property owners along this street would be most telling. What political connections exist?

common@sense.gov

It needs to be called :

Bo Diddley Plaza

or

Gator Alley

make it happen

I go every nite. There are tons of pedestrians..plus they can barrier to keep it safe from vehicles like we did on Iraq.

Are you thinking this is mainly a day thing? Even during the day the safety of no cars outweigh the human traffic.
