“We are excited to bring our community together to share our histories, cultures, lived experiences and hopes,” said GGIC President and CEO Lauren Poe a press release.

The GGIC is a nonprofit whose goal is to bring together Gainesville and the surrounding areas’ growing international community.

There will be a story-telling workshop titled, “In Our Voices: Stories of Immigration, Integration and Belonging.” The workshop will take places from 12:30-2 p.m. inside How Bazar (60 SW 2nd St.)

The event is free, but a food passport is available for purchase. The food passport will allow guests to eat two samples from each chef at the festival.
